2026 Summer Camp Program

At String Ensemble Academy, our Summer Camp is designed to inspire young musicians at every stage — from complete beginners to students already playing in school orchestra. We offer three main weekly programs, each tailored by age and level, all focused on building confidence, musical skills, and a love for music in a structured and engaging environment.

For children with ready to begin their journey. The Little Music Explorers program provides a dynamic, play-based musical experience for children ages 4–6. Over one week, Monday–Friday, students develop rhythmic awareness, active listening, and group interaction skills through internationally recognized methodologies: Orff, Kodály, Dalcroze, and Suzuki. Each session integrates hands-on Instrument Discovery and weekly art workshops. Duration: 1 week (Mon–Fri) Age Range: 4–6 years Group Size: Max 8–10 children Staff: 2 adults per group Activity Blocks: 10 min rotation Daily Hours: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / 12:00–3:00 PM Methodologies: Orff, Kodály, Dalcroze, Suzuki Updates: Weekly summary video

Get Ready for Orchestra ?Summer Prep Course What is this course? A 5-day summer music preparation program (Monday–Friday) designed to introduce children ages 6–11 to the fundamentals of piano, violin, and rhythm. No prior musical experience is required, and no instruments are needed. Options include AM, PM, or Full Day sessions. Who is it for? Children who will be joining their school orchestra in August and want a head start during this intensive week-long program. Our Goal Build confidence, basic technique, music reading skills, and a love for music over the course of the week before the school year begins.

If you’re a young musician, elevate your skills this summer and be ready for your school orchestra. Your child will spend the week in focused string ensemble rehearsals and piano lessons in a fun, structured environment. What is this course? A 5-day summer music intensive (Monday–Friday) designed for children ages 6–12 who are already members of a school orchestra. The program focuses on string ensemble playing (at least 1 hour daily) and piano skills (at least 45 minutes daily). Available in AM, PM, or Full Day sessions. Who is it for? Young string players (violin or viola) ages 6–12 who are already enrolled in their school orchestra and want to deepen their ensemble skills and add piano as a complementary instrument over the summer. Our Goal Strengthen ensemble playing, intonation, and musical communication within a string group, while building foundational piano skills — all in a fun, structured summer environment. Violins and violas should be brought to each session. Pianos and keyboards are provided.
